She first moved to California, where she met her husband. During her marriage, she also found the Lord and became a Christian. Afterwards, her husband decided to move back to China, leaving her and their two boys in the United States, while refusing to support them unless they moved back to China. However, Ronnie was determined to build a life here.
While living in California, she got a settlement allowing her to purchase her home in Fort Worth, where she felt led to raise her children. She relied on friends and acquaintances to help her with transportation until a friend gifted her a vehicle.
That is where Ronnie found Drive Grace. It was an answer to prayer to fix the failing alternator in her car. This restored her ability to go to work, drive her children to school, and gather with her church community, all independently.
