Revving Up Hope

At Drive Grace, we've witnessed firsthand the stress and uncertainty that comes with car troubles. Picture this: you're on the side of a busy road, your car has broken down, and a sense of dread sets in. The inconvenience, the unforeseen expenses, and the disruption to your routine can be overwhelming. This situation is all too common, especially in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where a reliable car is not just a luxury but a necessity for daily life. That's where Drive Grace steps in.

Our journey began with a simple yet profound mission fueled by compassion, community, faith, and practicality. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free car repair services, with a primary focus on individuals and families facing financial challenges in the DFW area. Drive Grace isn't just an organization; it's a movement born from the hearts of Michael and Monica McKee and friends from within their church community, who saw a dire need and chose to act.

Our initiative goes beyond just fixing cars. It's about restoring hope and offering a helping hand to those in tough situations. Take, for instance, the story of Kathy, a widow with limited means. Repairing her car seemed like an insurmountable challenge until she found Drive Grace. According to her testimony, our assistance was a “godsend” for her, enabling her to make it to doctor's appointments, buy groceries, and stay connected with her church family. Kathy's experience is a shining example of the impact we aim to make in the DFW community as the tangible, loving hands and feet of Jesus.

Drive Grace was officially established as a 501(c)3 organization in November 2020 amidst a global crisis that brought the world to a standstill. In the face of widespread fear and uncertainty, our group in Fort Worth, Texas, came together in prayer and felt an answer to use our skills in auto repair to make a meaningful difference. Our mission is to partner with the community to help individuals and families in a time of need with auto repairs and vehicle stewardship to strengthen them to be successful in all areas of life.

This year, our efforts have extended beyond mere car repairs and into vehicle stewardship. We've partnered with organizations like Christ’s Haven For Children to teach teens in a time of transition the responsibility and skillset of vehicle maintenance and stewardship, creating dynamic mentorships that empower and support these young individuals. This is part of our commitment to providing a service, building relationships, and strengthening our community.

Our team, including seasoned professionals like Matthew Whitington, Michael McKee, and Warren Roddy, brings over 60 years of auto repair experience. Their expertise and a shared dedication to serving our neighbors form the backbone of our operations. It's their faith and desire to love our neighbors that drive us, both literally and metaphorically. We are proud to mention they generously donate their time and labor to complete these important repairs.

The impact of Drive Grace in the DFW community is profound. From helping a single mother transport her children to school to aiding a family in getting to the grocery store or enabling someone to maintain their job by having reliable transportation - each car we repair symbolizes a life the Lord has positively affected through Drive Grace.

As we continue to grow, we are always open to support in various forms. Whether you're an automotive professional, a skilled administrator, or simply someone with a heart to help, there's a place for you in our community of service and compassion.

In today's world, where a dependable vehicle is essential, Drive Grace is a pillar of hope and practical assistance. For those in the DFW area seeking free car repair, we are more than a service provider; we are a community cornerstone, exemplifying the power of faith and compassion in action.

At Drive Grace, we're not just fixing cars; we're mending lives, one vehicle at a time. We may repair the vehicles, but He is restoring lives through Drive Grace!
